Grandma Doris' Special Mint Stick Brownies
Brownie Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 can (16 oz) chocolate syrup
- 1 cup flour
Mint Frosting Ingredients:
- 8 Tbsp butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 4 Tbsp milk or cream, as much to make creamy
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
- Green food coloring, a few drops
Glazed Topping:
- 9 squares semi-sweet chocolate
- 8 Tbsp butter
Instructions:
- Mix brownie ingredients in order and put into a greased jelly roll pan at 350° for 25-30 minutes. Let cool.
- Mix mint frosting ingredients together and spread over cooled brownies. Refrigerate.
- Melt together the glazed topping ingredients in a double boiler and dribble over green icing.
- Tilt pan back and forth to get glaze all over pan.
